Securahomes has released an alarm system called the AC5 Comms Link. The system moves away from traditional bells-only alarm systems, to what the manufacturer claims is a more communications derived system. Converting traditional burglar alarms to monitored communications systems, the system uses two-way monitoring to deal with instances such as fire, fumes, intruders and panic assistance.

The system comes in two parts; the first called the AC5-Link, which fits inside existing equipment. It connects to the property’s control panel to a monitoring station.

Functions include a medical alert facility and home alone assistance. It also offers panic assistance for those likely to receive unexpected visitors, as well as a theft sequence for added protection.
